Roy Howson - Attorney

Roy Howson

Roy has practiced criminal law exclusively for forty years. He began his career with 10 years service as a deputy prosecutor in King County where he tried many "high profile" cases. He left that office in 1979 to become a defense attorney and again was often involved in notorious cases, including one matter which resulted in the temporary abolishment of the death penalty in Washington State.

Roy is a member of NACDL (National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers) and a patron member of WACDL (Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers). As such, Roy is consistently sought out by other lawyers for his expertise on search and seizure issues. He is considered by his peers to be one of the best trial attorneys in the Northwest.

In 1999, Roy joined his wife, Jenifer, in her Mount Vernon office. Roy and Jenifer now work together on every matter, taking great pride in offering each client two experienced attorneys dedicated to his or her case.

Roy is an avid fly fisherman and Mariners fan.
